What parents think about EcoCamp

The leadership program and volunteering at EcoCamp unlocked the leadership potential in my 13 year old son. He had never really had the opportunity to play a leadership role in a group setting before and was very proud of the work he did each day with his campers (involving canoeing, fishing, biking, games, songs, and lots of good food!). He loved knowing he was helping others have a great camp experience. And my 15 year old daughter, who spent many years as a camper, also loved moving into a leadership role, enthusiastically modelling for the kids just how much fun this camp is. I’m grateful there are ways for my kids to continue their EcoCamp experience. I cannot recommend this camp enough! 10/10

Eco camp has become a very important and exciting summer ritual for our family.  Our older son has attended ECO camp for many years and is now looking forward to becoming a “Counsellor In Training”.  His 2 younger brothers were able to attend for their first time last year and have claimed ECO camp to be the best camp EVER!!  Days at ECO camp are filled with fun and adventure.  They come home smiling, tired, dirty and full of stories about all the fun and exciting things they have done.  Moose and Storm do a great job orchestrating things and their teaching skills and experience definitely contribute to the success of this camp.  Location is also a huge plus.  Who wouldn’t want to spend their summer at Island Lake?  The trails, the lake, the beach, the fishing, the trees…the perfect place to be on a summer day!

Our three children have been going to Eco Camp every year for the past 4 years and it’s one of the highlights of their Summer. They talk endlessly about the amazing counsellors, the fun camp games they play, the endless activity choices and the new friends they make. They come home dirty, tired and so happy! I love Eco camp because it’s a traditional summer camp and the organisers truly care about all the kids having a great experience! I highly recommend this summer camp!

My son Charlie is quiet but he genuinely loves it. The staff are great and I am happy to drop him off when I know he’s going to have a great time. I can’t wait for my daughter to experience it too.
